• Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is a fascinating history to the Cambodia gambling dens that lie just over the border from nearby Thailand, where gambling den betting is prohibited. Eight casinos are based in a generally tiny location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This conclave of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent destination, a 3 to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest gaming centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a huge business with Thai workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The astonishing capital gained from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to more than twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a few limitations constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be mainly Thai; still, financing sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 5:00 p.m., and despite the fact visas are for all intents and purposes necessary to pass, there are methods around this, as is real of most borders.

The original Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving just 1 gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked boat gambling hall, features one hundred and fifty slot machine games and 60 tables. The Naga casino is open all hours with 42 tables of mini-baccarat banque, 4 tables of twenty-one, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The original casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown quickly opened. A total of one hundred and fifty slot machine games and five table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slots and 68 tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains 300 slots and seventy tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machines and 96 table games, including eighty seven baccarat chemin de fer (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and 66 of the familiar table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 casinos in Poipet, also in a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and ninety seven games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an international resort and hotel compound that highlights many conveniences accompanying the casino, which offers ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machine games and 88 table games.
