• Learning From My Gambling Failures

1st to explain why I write this article. I have been gambling on the net or at land-based betting houses for a great many years. I have discovered, the addiction can take a hold of you and you will not even realize it up until you are beaten. Especially if you are on a winning run. I’ve gone through countless tens of thousands of dollars in only a tiny amount of time and to this day on occasion, I will go too far. It appears you’re just having a blast until you start to pay attention to your defeats and the guilt sets in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can get it back" repeatedly. It never works. Then you feel sick in your stomach and the more you try the quicker you lose.

When you notice that you’re up, STAY on the UP! When you start to lose, do not tell yourself, "well perhaps one more" and over and over again, believe me, this logic RARELY ever works. Say you’re betting on slots, have a bankroll set aside prior to starting your action. DO NOT exceed that limit, regardless how tempting. If you actually win, put that in a separate canister. Do not risk your profits no matter what. Once you’ve gambled through your original set limit, call it a day. Head out, whether it’s on the internet or at a land-based betting house, don’t stay around. Always remember, there will be another day, a different time.

Keep in mind, gambling is supposed to be exciting not exhausting, sickening work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcan not afford the loss, don’t even start.
